Concert Make up - sometimes parents are horrified at the amount of make-up used in stage performance. It is essential that the make-up be applied darker than usual as we are performing under very strong stage lighting. Without make-up, the performers appear washed out and sickly.
Students 10yrs+ are encouraged to do their own make up.
As with anything - practice makes perfect.
FOUNDATION
Tie hair off the face
*Senior Students - apply false eyelashes
Apply foundation with fingers/sponge, blending into the hairline & down the neck

EYESHADOW
Apply eyeshadow to eyelids
Blend out below the eyebrow - DO NOT TAKE RIGHT UP TO BROW LINE!

BLUSH
Apply blush to hollow of cheeks
LIP LINER
Outline lips with lip liner (use a light feathering motion)
Use the lip pencil/liner to roughly fill the lips with colour
This helps the lipstick last longer

LIP STICK
Apply lipstick to both lips - careful to stay in the lines!
Fill lips with lipstick
Blot with a tissue
Apply a second coat of lipstick

EYELINER
Using a light feathering motion, go as close to the eyelashes as possible to apply eyeliner
Apply to upper and lower lids
DO NOT TAKE TO INNER CORNER OF LOWER LID as this closes the eye in and makes it appear smaller!
Take the lower line from about the middle of the lower lid
Add a slight (approx. 5mm) kick to the outer corner, this is meant to accentuate the eyelashes to make the eyes appear larger
Be very careful to not make this look like it was drawn on with a Nikko pen!!
*If eyebrows are fair, use an eyebrow pencil to feather in colour to the natural brow shape
Apply to upper and lower lids
DO NOT TAKE TO INNER CORNER OF LOWER LID as this closes the eye in and makes it appear smaller!

Finish your make up with translucent/loose powder to set it

LITTLE BATS
This is the finished look for the "Little Bats" group. It is the same as above without the eyeliner!
SENIOR EYESHADOW
Add the dark eyeshadow in the crease of the eye (from about the middle).
Take out to a point at the outer edge of the eye
Blend into "the little kick"
The look is meant to accentuate the eyelashes
